Midgee Murphy - born in June 2006. Murphy has been vet inspected, semen tested, and vaccinated for vibrio and 3 day sickness. Murphy is a beautifully balanced and well muscled bull and he demonstrates great mobility. He is very dark in colour and is ready to work.

These two young bulls (pictured below) have excellent temperament and muscling. They are early maturing and of moderate scale suitable for the production of vealer and local butchers calves.ready for joining in any herd. They are ready to work, semen tested vet inspected and vaccinated for 30 day and vibrio.

Animals in the feedlot

The Feedlot

A small feedlot operates at Midgee where steers and cull heifers are fattened for sale direct to local butchers. The season dictates the age at which animals are introduced to the feedlot. A good season allows us to wean young animals onto a sweet paddock to grow them on a bit prior to entering the feedlot. Six weeks in the feedlot will see them ready for sale.

The kill sheet which is displayed on this page shows the carcass weight of 3 steers and 1 heifer consigned directly to a butcher in May 2007. These four animals averaged $732.85.
